You might ask yourself: why don’t the numbers in the statistics section on the overview map page don’t add up? Let me explain…

1. This is the total amount of sightings we have in our database. It’s both prostitutes and locations. A location can be a brothel, a chair that is unoccupied, a strip club etc.
2. At the time the screenshot above was taken, we had spotted 1047 prostitutes on Google Street View. Every streetview prostitute spotting shows at least one prostitute.
3. The total number of locations in our database.
4. As explained in the FAQ, we have published and upcoming spottings in our database.
A few of the spottings were classified both as location and prostitute spotting. For example, if you can catch a glimpse of a prostitute in her car, the spotting is classified both as location and prostitute sighting. For this reason, the numbers don’t add up entirely.
